Biography
I am grateful to be joining the amazing team of educators at The Catholic Academy of Stamford. As your new School Counselor, I feel blessed to be able to serve the students and families within this very special academic community.
I am a state certified and trained School Psychologist. I received both my bachelors degree and my masters degree at Fairfield University, which provided me with a strong foundation in academics and reaffirmed an already strong foundation in my Catholic faith. My husband and I met at Fairfield University as undergraduates. We have four children, ages 14, 12, 10 and 9. They all attend St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School in Fairfield.
In my previous position, I worked as a School Psychologist in the Therapeutic Day Program at Cooperative Educational Services in Trumbull. During my years at C.E.S., I developed a wide variety of educational assessment, counseling and consultation techniques. I was able to work with students, staff, parents and outside service providers to assist each child to achieve a high level education while having access to any necessary emotional and behavioral supports. This experience afforded me the opportunity to work with a variety of students with all different ability levels.
I am committed to helping each child achieve excellence in their education as well as a positive, social/emotional experience during their school day. I feel so fortunate to be joining the warm and welcoming environment at The Catholic Academy. I intend to blend my strong faith in God with my training as a psychologist in order to best serve the students, families and staff at The Catholic Academy.
I am very much looking forward to meeting the students and families! My office door is always open!
